INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION

LEAGUE OF ARAB STATES
Since 2008, the Arab Hospitals Federation annual forum is held simultaneously with the Arab Health Ministers Council upon the request of the Executive Council of Arab Health Ministers in addition to that the Federation has acquired the title of Supervising Member in the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League.

IMPERIAL COLLEGE / WHO COLLABORATING CENTRE FOR PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION & TRAINING – IMPERIAL COLLEGE OF SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY & MEDICINE -LONDON
The AHF signed in 2012 a memorandum of collaboration with WHOCC to support the strengthening of leadership and management capacity among AHF members.

AHF ACTIVITIES

The Training Department in the Arab Hospitals Federation has the pleasure to announce its partnership with Gates Group for a Certified Program in Healthcare Management and Quality the Healthcare Management Quality” (HMQ) Master’s program.

This program will be organized by MCE Group and will be given in three weeks.

It is composed of 15 modules and common courses in healthcare.

This program is committed to provide value-added knowledge, skills and innovative tools in the field of healthcare management, quality, accreditation and technology management to managers and practitioners working in Hospitals, Pharmaceutical Companies, Primary Healthcare Centers, Health Policy Organizations, Health Insurance Companies and other Healthcare Organizations.

Target population includes but not limited to:

AHF Achievements

During Medhealth Cairo 2017, all the  Arab Health Ministers signed the Cairo Declaration on Arab Women Health.

This declaration was the result of the work undertaken by various parties namely the   Secretariat of the League of Arab States – Health and humanitarian Aid Department, the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health, the Ministry of Health and Population in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Arab Hospitals Federation and the National Council for Women in Egypt.

*Sultanate to Host Arab Hospitals Federation Annual Forum

The Sultanate will host during the 29-30 of April the Arab Healthcare Development Annual Forum (AHDAF), which is the 19th annual forum of the Arab Hospitals Federation (AHF). The annual forum, held under the theme “Partnering to develop the healthcare sector” is organized by the AHF in collaboration with the Arab Ministries of Health, as well as number of Associations and health service providers in the Arab world.

The aim of the forum is to highlight the need of all the stakeholders in the Arab Healthcare sector to sit together and create a cooperative platform in which ideas can become tangible solutions.

This forum seeks to assemble key stakeholders in healthcare who will share perspectives, ideas, and solutions in order to develop the healthcare sector.

The AHDAF, which will take place at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, addresses many subjects including Visions & Strategies to develop healthcare sector, Universal Health Coverage, Accreditation, Quality and Safety, Leadership and Talent Management, Healthcare Technology Management, and Health Tourism.


*During the visit to Jordan, the AHF delegation represented by the General Secretary Prof. Tawfik Khoja and the Vice President Dr. Safa El-Qsoos accompanied by Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, President of the Private Hospitals Association met Princess Ghida Al- Talal in her office at the King Hussein Cancer Center. The delegation presented HRH her nomination for the Arab Woman Distinguished Award in Healthcare for 2018. HRH appreciated this nomination and expressed her happiness and interest in receiving the award personally from the federation during the 19th Annual Forum in Oman. Following that, the delegation had a tour in the center and discussed possibilities of cooperation between the Center and the federation.


*The AHF delegation met HE. Dr. Mahmoud Al Sheyab, Minister of Health in Jordan. The meeting was very fruitful and His Excellency praised the efficient role of the Federation in bringing together the various players in the Arab healthcare sector and wished AHF a successful journey and promised to promote and encourage the participation of the Jordanian health sector in the federation.
He also confirmed his presence in the 19th Annual Forum in Oman


*The President of the Private Hospitals Association invited the AHF delegation to lunch along with the board members of the PHA. The PHA members expressed their interest to be part of the AHF activities and to promote collaboration between the Federation and the Jordanian Health sector.


*The preparation for the 19th Annual Forum of the federation have started with the visit of HE. Ahmad Bin Mohammad Bin Obeid Al Saidi- Minister of Health in Oman.
